GREWI SPEZIAL-BLACK-SEAL is a high quality sealant that cures to a silicone rubber at room temperature. It is a 1-component sealant that remains elastic and has high adhesion to withstand dynamic loads such as shock and vibration. GREWI SPEZIAL-BLACK-SEAL can replace conventional solid gaskets and is universally applicable. The sealant has a very high temperature resistance from -50°C to +260°C. It can be used on many substrates and has a high viscosity and good media resistance. GREWI SPEZIAL-BLACK-SEAL can be stored for approx. 18 months and is acetate-cured.
The sealant is available in black and has an extremely good UV resistance. The elongation at break is approx. 400%.
Adhesion tests are recommended prior to application. The sealing surfaces should be cleaned and GREWI SPEZIAL-BLACK-SEAL can be applied on one side. In case of severe roughness, application on both sides is required. A skin will form after approximately 10 minutes. The curing speed is 3.0 mm/24 h.
GREWI SPEZIAL-BLACK-SEAL is used in many areas such as in the automotive industry, in the refrigerator industry, in the marine industry, in caravan construction, in many areas in the household, in tractor construction, in the engine and electrical industry, in turbine and nuclear power plants, in machine and gear construction, in the food industry, in mining, in the chemical and petrochemical industry, in gas, water and electricity plants and many other industries.
Remains permanently elastic even in high temperature range and has excellent adhesion to aluminum, steel, wood, glass, glass fabric, ceramics and many other materials. Very high weather resistance and particularly suitable for sealing of: Industrial and tiled stoves, flue gas boxes, heating systems, air conditioning and cooling equipment and many more.
